About us: Sue Woodhead

Sue Woodhead, Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, has gained extensive Human Resource and Employee Development experience in senior roles including Blue Chip retail, logistics, private practice and the public sector.

Sue has managed diverse teams of people in organisations who employed between 150 and 15,000 employees and knows very well the issues that managers face on a daily basis.

Sue has significant experience in managing change particularly in organisations involved in mergers or acquisitions. She has assisted companies through acquisitions whilst adhering to the requirements of TUPE (Transfer of Undertakings - Protection of Employment - Regulations) and she managed the recruitment process associated with one of the restructures.

She has a strong background in managing performance and has developed and introduced performance management frameworks to three companies. She fully understands the need for businesses to understand how to define and measure the contribution their employees make to the organisations goals.

Sue has a particular interest in what makes people tick and is trained in using various tools which help people understand why they behave the way they do, how they interact with colleagues, what type of work they prefer and how they maximise their strengths.

She has developed a graduate recruitment training programme and a comprehensive development programme for managers. As a trained coach Sue believes that coaching skills are important in the role of people management and has successfully used this technique throughout her career as a people manager.

She planned the implementation of a Job Evaluation scheme to a new organisation made up of several merged companies and recently completed policy development work aimed at promoting a high attendance culture.
